There is alot more good than bad this time. Nothing is really a deal breaker but I wish SNK would have www.terminalreality.com actually test the games better. Pros: KOF 94-98! Unlockable Classic Artwork and Soundtracks. (Original and Arranged) Plays great! No weird tileing or slowdown like the PS2 SNK Arcade Classics Vol.1 had. Cons: Damn weird half assed blurr filter on all the games. No option to shut it off. Loading screens in the game? WTF? The Japanese version didnt have this! Weird sound glitches! Glitches in detail. So far the big one is KOF98(nice one terminal!) When every round starts about 95% of the time the Announcer goes READY GO --"INNAH" or READY GO --"EADY" WTH is that?! Its not a deal breaker but it sure is weird! Now on KOF 96 I only got a glitch once. Female Team Stage at the end of the match it didnt switch to the quote music it just kept on playing the Female Team stage. Tried repeatedly but only happened once out of 10 or so times. So far no issues with 94,95,97. Overall I’m pleased that the gameplay is still intact as well as the extra content such as artwork and soundtracks but the sound Issues are kinda weird. My only gripe aside from the sound problems is the inability to play a game with the option to switch from original to arranged soundtracks. -DavidRead full review
One of the best popular fighting franchises from SNK has been brought to the PSP system. The Orochi Saga is placed in the timeline between KOF '94 thru '98, where KOF all started. What I liked about this game is that it takes you back to the start of the KOF and learn about the start of Orochi, plus you can use different characters for each game you play. You can also play challenges created to test your skills and you can unlock different add-ons for the game, including in-game music, artwork, and bonus playable characters. Being brought to the PSP system has made this game more exhilirating to play and you can play it anywhere and anytime. If you like, you can play head-to-head with your friends, only if they also have the game. What I disliked about this game is that the loading periods take too long, there are some sound delays, and the game gets too difficult despite that you have change the difficulty of the game. The reason I bought the game is because as a fan to the KOF franchise, I wanted to play the start of the KOF franchise, PSP-style. Now that I can take this game anywhere, I can have fun wherever I want and also challenge my friends head-to-head. Despite the flaws found in the PSP version, this game is a nonstop fun you can play if you are a diehard KOF fan. As a KOF fan and a PSP player, I recommend this game to any other fans of this franchise and all PSP users alike.Read full review
